EDUCATION
What I’ve Learned
My education has not only provided the foundation for the rest of my experiences, but has also made me a lifelong learner who is eager to gain more skills and knowledge. Take a look at my academics below.

VICTORIA UNIVERSITY OF WELLINGTON, NEW ZEALAND
Bachelor of Science majoring in Chemistry. It was a roller coaster ride. Had lots of fun exploring and learning so much things about New Zealand.

MARA COLLEGE SEREMBAN
The International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme Qualifications

Obtained 39 points across 7 subjects.
SKILLS

MICROSOFT OFFICE
Able to fully utilize Microsoft Office programs for applications in report, presentation, publishing, etc.
Expert - Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint
Intermediate - Microsoft Publish, Access

NUCLEAR MAGNETIC RESONANCE (NMR) SPECTRUM PROCESSING
Nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy is a vital analysis technique for organic chemists. With the help of NMR, the work in the organic lab has been facilitated tremendously. Not only can it provide information about the structure of a molecule but also determine the content and purity of a sample.
Compared with other commonly encountered techniques for organic chemists — such as thermal analysis and mass spectrometry (MS) — NMR is a non-destructive method that is valuable when recovery of the sample is important.

LEADERSHIP
I have been a Prefect and leader during my school days. These experiences have strengthened my skills as a leader to provide my team with the motivation and drive to succeed and produce a productive and innovative work method.

PLANNING AND ORGANIZING
Allocation of resources and time management of plans are several of the tools and methods which I have develop from my working experiences. I have applied these tools to various projects and laboratory works during my undergraduate studies in chemistry and events to ensure that the productivity is maintain and quality of work is improved.

PROBLEM SOLVING
I can assess the situation and circumstances and make a decision based on multiple strategies to achieve a certain task and problem. As different situations arise, I have kept a calm mind and make decisions to help achieve the company’s goal and help in providing a solution to different risk assessment such as safety, financial and human resources.
MY PROJECTS
FINAL YEARÂ PROJECT

LIQUID CRYSTAL PHOSPHINE
The objective of this project is to design and synthesize liquid crystal (LC) compatible catalysts based on phosphine and to deploy them in LC solvents, focusing on product selectivity and reaction rate. Applying these new LC catalysts in a highly structured LC solvent will lead to an unprecedented control of the critical reactions of organic synthesis. The limitation in project duration has facilitated in improving my time management skills for experimentation with efficient work procedure and methods while allocating work with delivering the final report and presentation.
